How do I generate a song?

Open the App, describe your song idea using text or voice, pick a genre and mood, and tap generate. Musly sends your prompt to our AI music providers and returns a finished track in seconds. The song is then saved to your personal library.

How do subscriptions work?

Musly offers a free tier with a limited number of generations. To create unlimited songs, you can subscribe to Musly Premium through your Apple ID. To manage or cancel your subscription:

  • iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

What happens if my subscription expires?

You'll keep access to the songs already in your library, but new generations may be limited. You can resubscribe at any time.

Is my music library stored in the cloud?

No. Your generated songs and library are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your library to any server. Song prompts are sent to our AI providers to generate the track, but the resulting audio is returned to your device.

Can I use voice to describe a song?

Yes. You can tap the voice input button and describe your song idea out loud. Musly transcribes your voice and sends it to the AI provider together with the genre and mood you selected.

What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting the App will permanently remove all your locally stored songs and data. This cannot be recovered. Make sure to cancel any active subscription before deleting.

Can I use the generated songs commercially?

Songs you generate are intended for personal use. For any commercial use, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable law and with the terms of our AI providers. See our Terms of Service for details.

Is my data private?

Your music library stays on your device. Prompts are sent to AI providers solely to generate the requested songs. We use analytics (PostHog) and error tracking (Sentry) to improve the app. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
