This free printable kick count chart gives you a simple way to track your baby's daily movements on paper. Here's how to use it:
A kick count chart helps you monitor your baby's health during the third trimester. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends counting at least 10 movements within 2 hours each day starting at 28 weeks. Tracking on paper creates a visual record you can share with your provider at every prenatal visit.
For a complete walkthrough of the counting method, see our guide to kick counting. To learn what's normal at each stage, read our week-by-week guide.
Start at 28 weeks of pregnancy — the beginning of the third trimester. By this point, your baby has a regular sleep-wake cycle and their movements are strong enough to count reliably. Count at the same time each day for the most consistent tracking.
Kick counting begins at 28 weeks. If you're not sure how far along you are, use our due date calculator to find your current week.
